The most important, the first skill distributors should learn. This will send them to the best prospects immediately. http://www.fortunenow.com/products/item47.cfm ------------------------------------------------------------ In this issue . . . 1. If you wait for someone to come around and motivate you, what will happen if they don't show up? Are you going to stay unmotivated for the rest of your life? Have you ever had a new distributor call you and say: "Oh, I can't be successful because my sponsor doesn't help me. I need more help. Why doesn't my upline sponsor a group for me? Why doesn't my sponsor do my work and prospect, telephone, and present my program to his prospects?" As leaders, we can only smile when we get telephone calls like this. We know the caller is avoiding personal responsibility for his results and just wants to blame everyone in the world but himself. So what can we tactfully say to the caller to help him grow up and accept personal responsibility? How about replying to the caller by saying: "So what exactly do you want your sponsor to do for you that you are unwilling to do for yourself?" It's not guaranteed, but most distributors will at least begin to accept personal responsibility for their business. ------------------------------------------------------------ You should never criticize your worthless sponsor's judgment. Look who he decided to sponsor! ------------------------------------------------------------ Bribery vs. leads. Let's say that you purchase leads at $5 each, and it takes you 10 leads to get a presentation. This means that you've spent $50 just to get in front of one "live" prospect to give a presentation. Oh, you didn't purchase leads? Instead you spent 15 hours of Internet time playing pen pal on Facebook, social media posting, replying to your emails . . . well, how much is your time worth? If you prospect locally, you will drive across town to meet a prospect for a cup of coffee. That probably cost you a lot more than $10 in car expense, the cost of your coffee, the cost of your classified ad, and quite a bit of your time - just to get in front of one "live" prospect to give a presentation. See a trend? It costs money and time to get in front of prospects. So why not bribe prospects instead? For less than you are spending in advertising, hours of personal time on the Internet, etc., you could actually buy your next door neighbor lunch if he agrees to listen to your presentation. But you might say: "But how do I know that my next door neighbor will be a highly qualified, motivated prospect?" Well, there is no guarantee. But then again, there is no guarantee that the stranger who answered your ad will be a highly qualified, motivated prospect either. The point is: Look at your costs to get in front of qualified prospects. ------------------------------------------------------------ Some people drink from the fountain of knowledge, but my worthless sponsor only gargled. ------------------------------------------------------------ Get seven no-cost examples of ways to sponsor new distributors, taken directly from the '103 Ways & Places to Sponsor New Distributors' manual. Check out my CD at: http://www.fortunenow.com/products/item12.cfm ------------------------------------------------------------ Here are four more great first sentences and headlines. If you don't capture your prospect's imagination and attention with a great first sentence or headline . . you don't have a prospect. Always think hard about what your first sentence will be. Your career depends on it. And now for some examples: "73-year-old janitor astounds doctors with miracle health recovery." "Overweight couch-potato helps addicted television watchers get an extra paycheck in their mailboxes every week." "How to make your skin look ten years younger in just 17 seconds a day." "Seven reasons you should resign from your job today." These are just a few ideas to get us thinking. More next issue. And to put a bit of humor in your day, here are some of the unclear and bad headlines I've reviewed: "Dog for sale: eats anything and is fond of children." "Man wanted to work in dynamite factory. Must be willing to travel." "3-year-old teacher needed for pre-school. Experience preferred." "Wanted: Man to take care of cow that does not smoke or drink." Remember, first sentences are used by your competition. Everyone is vying for your prospect's money. Want to create your own custom first sentences and headlines?
